Student Advantage (http://www.studentadvantage.com) is the nation’s largest student discount program. Student Advantage offers exclusive student deals on flights, academic software, fashion, mobile phone contracts and more. Students save up to 50% at thousands of locations, by using their physical Student Advantage discount card. Student Advantage RemindMe is an I-Card that supplements the physical card. It helps cardholders find deals when they shop online. Here’s how it works:

1. SEARCH on Google or Yahoo! and the Student Advantage RemindMe augments the search results by displaying the Student Advantage logo next to retail partners that offer Student Advantage Discounts.
2. CLICK the Student Advantage logo to go to the page on the Student Advantage web site that explains the discounts offered at that retailer, and how to redeem them, and
3. SAVE – shop at the retailer, and get your Student Advantage Discount.

Student Advantage RemindMe uses an Information Card as the transport and storage mechanism for the user’s identity preferences – in this case, the fact that they are interested in augmenting their search results related to Student Advantage Discounts. The web augmentation rules are delivered via the Kynetx Network Services (http://www.kynetx.com/ ) server-side rules engine, which are called from the client computer from the installed Azigo (http://www.azigo.com/ ) software. Azigo contains a Higgins-based identity selector (http://www.eclipse.org/higgins/ ) as well as proprietary extensions for running the Kynetx identity-drive web augmentation rules.
