There is useful work to be done in every development environment. ICF will act as a clearing house for development tool requests and connections to companies and individuals providing components and reference components. We will be encouraging specific interoperability tools to bring information cards to your environment. Also tools, plug-ins, and adapters for various popular databases, CRM systems, and other existing systems.
Standards for Information Cards
As stated elsewhere, the Information Card Foundation is not a standards body. It makes little sense for this organization to duplicate the infrastructure of an international standards body, when organizations like OASIS already perform this valuable function. The OASIS Identity Metasystem Interoperability TC is now in operation, and intends to put forth several documents written by the founders of the ICF. Specific details and links to supporting documents may be found here.
