  • Information Card Selectors, "Digital Wallets"  - You need one of these to hold and manage your information cards.  Your choice of a selector is very important. Selectors will determine how and where your personal data is stored, and your access to it. It may be on your computer or other device,  or in a secure location on the Internet. 

 

  • Identity Providers.  While you can make your own cards to help you 'click in' to websites you already use, the real power of information cards is yours when you can prove facts such as that you are over 21 without providing an actual birthdate.  A trusted Identity Provider, for example a Registry of Motor Vehicles, could electronically vouch for you.

 

  • Websites that accept information cards.  In the beginning, sites will be doing this just to make it easy for you to 'click in' without the endless typing annoyance of logging in.  But soon, information cards will become the best and fastest way to 'click in' at most websites.
